Nice to meet you, I’m Maya! :)

I started my journey into the world of lash artistry in 2016. Since then, I've acquired over seven certifications, continually seeking new ways to stay ahead of trends and expand my knowledge. I do lashes part-time from the comfort of my home studio, where you may get lucky enough to meet everyone’s 3 favourite ladies in the world: Bubbles & Katsu (my cuddly cats), and my Grandmother (who loves to drop into the studio and tell you how beautiful you are and then feed you fresh cookies or pizza she’s just made… seriously).

Full-time, I’m actually a flight attendant! Therefore, my schedule changes on a monthly basis, but I always make time for my clients. If you ever need a specific date in the future for a special occasion, let me know in advance and I’d be more than happy to schedule that day off to accomodate you.

How Lashed Out MTL Came to Be

In 2016, at the age of 19, I found myself working at Walmart, feeling miserable and financially strained while finishing my final year of college. Despite being broke, I would spend part of my paycheck on getting my lashes done because it made me feel beautiful. One day, I asked my lash artist how she got started, and her story of seeking autonomy and finding joy in beauty inspired me deeply.

That very night, I immersed myself in the world of lash artistry. I spent hours on Instagram admiring the work of lash artists worldwide, watched countless YouTube tutorials, and began exploring lash products online. I quickly became obsessed and saw a future for myself in this field. Taking a leap of faith, I invested my sweet 16 savings into a lash course. Though the initial course wasn't the best, it served as a stepping stone. Unsatisfied with my knowledge, I invested in an advanced course, and that's where my journey truly began.

Lashed Out MTL was born out of a desire to escape a difficult situation and quickly grew into an obsession, passion, and hobby. Every appointment is not just an opportunity to create art, but to forge real connections and friendships. The incredible individuals I've had the honor of lashing are the true driving force behind my work. This journey has never been about the money; it's about the joy and fulfillment I find in enhancing natural beauty and building meaningful relationships.
