How long do eyelash extensions last?

Lash extensions usually last 4-6 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and how well you maintain them. However, it is recommended to get a refill every 2-3 weeks to keep your set of lash extensions looking fresh, and to keep your natural lashes healthy.

Are eyelash extensions safe?

Yes! Extensions are completely safe when applied correctly by a trained professional. It’s important to choose a certified lash artist and follow aftercare instructions carefully to avoid any potential issues.

Do eyelash extensions damage natural lashes?

No, eyelash extensions themselves do not damage natural lashes. Damage can occur if extensions are applied incorrectly by your lash artist (eg: not properly isolated, too long or heavy for the natural lash), or if there's excessive pulling or rubbing of the extensions.

How long does it take to apply eyelash extensions?

A full set of eyelash extensions typically takes about 1.5 to 3 hours to apply, depending on what style you’re going for.  Refills normally take about 1 hour. Please visit our Service Menu to get a better idea on the duration for your desired appointment.

Can I wear makeup with eyelash extensions?

Yes, you can wear makeup with eyelash extensions, but it's recommended to use oil-free products as they can weaken the adhesive bond. It is not recommended to wear mascara with your extensions.

You must also ensure to clean your lashes properly to avoid any damage to your natural lash, and any infection from a buildup of oil and debris. For squeaky clean lashes, you can purchase a Lashed Out after-care kit in our studio.

How do I take care of eyelash extensions?

To maintain your eyelash extensions, avoid rubbing your eyes, use oil-free makeup remover, brush them daily with a clean mascara wand, clean them using a lash shampoo, and avoid exposing them to excessive heat or steam. Click here to learn how to make the most out of your lashes!

Can I swim or shower with eyelash extensions?

Yes, you can swim and shower with eyelash extensions. Don’t be afraid to get your lashes wet, in fact, it’s ideal to clean them daily!

Avoid brushing your lashes while they are wet. If you’re going to swim in salt water, it’s best to rinse your lashes with fresh water right after.

How often do I need to get fills?

Will lash extensions feel heavy or uncomfortable?

Can I customize the look of my eyelash extensions?

At Lashed Out, every single set of extensions is completely unique and customized by using different lengths, curls, diameters, and colours. We will assess what look would suit you best during the consultation portion of our first appointment.

What should I do before my eyelash extension appointment?

Before your appointment, it's recommended to arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes. Avoid using oil-based skincare products and mascara, as they can interfere with the adhesive bond. Can I curl my eyelash extensions or use an eyelash curler?

Never use a lash curler on your extensions as it can damage both the extensions and your natural lashes.

How do I remove eyelash extensions?

Lash extensions should be removed by a professional using a special adhesive remover. Attempting to remove them yourself can damage your natural lashes.

Can I get lash extensions while I’m pregnant?

Yes you can, but it’s always best to consult with your healthcare provider before any treatment while pregnant. It also depends on whether you’re comfortable laying down for a couple of hours. Rest assured we do everything to make our moms-to-be the most comfortable! I’d be glad to set more time apart for you to take a break in between the lash set if you feel like you need to sit up.

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that enhances the natural curl and shape of your lashes. A tint can be added to darken your lashes and create definition. It’s a perfect alternative to eyelash extensions for those who prefer a low-maintenance option.

How long does a lash lift last?

A lash lift typically lasts between 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and how well you care for your lashes after the treatment.

Is a lash lift safe?

Yes, when performed by a trained and experienced professional, a lash lift is safe. The products used are specifically formulated for use around the delicate eye area, and are also vegan!

Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes, you can absolutely wear mascara after a lash lift treatment. However, avoid wearing mascara for the first 24 hours, and avoid wearing waterproof mascara all together. Waterproof mascara tends to be harder to remove and you may rub your lashes more than needed, which will affect the longevity of your lash lift. Do not use a lash curler on lashes that have been lifted.

How long does a lash lift treatment take?

A lash lift treatment usually takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.

Will a lash lift damage my natural lashes?

A lash lift is suitable for people with natural lashes that are straight or have a slight curl and want a more lifted and defined look without the need for extensions. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for people with very short lashes.

If you have sensitive eyes or allergies, it's important to inform your lash artist beforehand. They can perform a patch test to check for any adverse reactions before proceeding with the full treatment.

How should I care for my lashes after a lash lift?

After a lash lift, avoid rubbing your eyes, or using mascara for the first 24 to 48 hours. Regularly brushing your lashes with a clean mascara wand can help maintain their shape.  We recommend using a serum or a nourishing oil on your lashes to keep them healthy.

How often can I get a lash lift?

It's recommended to avoid exposing your brows to water or steam for the first 24 hours after brow lamination to allow the treatment to fully set. After this period, you can resume normal activities.

Psoriasis, Eczema, Alopecia, Sunburn, Wounds/Scar Tissue, Infection, Pimple in the area

How should I care for my brows after brow lamination?

After brow lamination, avoid rubbing your brows, using oil-based products around the brow area, or applying brow makeup for the first 24 hours. Regularly brushing your brows with the mini brow brush given to you at the end of your appointment can help maintain their shape. To avoid any irritation and discomfort, avoid using skin products that contain Retinol, AHA, BHA around the brow area for a few days before and after your lamination. If you have recently gotten a deep exfoliating skin treatment, or if you are on medication that affects your skin (such as Accutane), we advise waiting several weeks before getting a brow lamination.
